On Sunday, August 27, the traditional Crazy Car Race will be held once again, organized by the Los Dormis Cultural Association and the Cieza City Council to mark the patron saint festivities in honor of Saint Bartholomew.
For this reason, free registration is now open for the 14th Wacky Race, which will take place on Sunday, August 27 in Cieza.
The event aims, among other objectives, to contribute to the revitalization of the patron saint festivities and promote the image of the municipality.
The circuit, which will once again be located on Camino de Murcia, will be completely fenced and marked to prevent spectators from attacking the participants. The pits, where cars will be received starting at 10:00 a.m., will be located at Esquina del Convento, the starting point for the race, and from where the cars will be launched starting at 12:00 p.m.
The participating vehicles, which can be adapted to unimaginable shapes and designs using all kinds of materials, must be handcrafted and must move by inertia. The installation of pedals or motors is prohibited. Wacky Races must live up to their name, as not only speed but also the imagination and creativity of the participants will be rewarded.
