Emergency services have treated and transported the drivers of two trucks who were injured when the vehicles collided on the A-30 highway at km 102, heading toward Albacete, in the municipality of Cieza.
1-1-2 received calls reporting the accident at 1:38 p.m. Callers reported that one of the drivers was injured and appeared trapped inside the truck's cab. Civil Guard patrols, firefighters from the Murcia Region Fire and Rescue Consortium (CEIS), and a Mobile Emergency Unit (UME) with paramedics from the 061 Emergency and Health Management Department were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed that no one was trapped in the vehicles involved, that at least one of the drivers required medical attention, and that they were extinguishing the fire that had broken out in one of the trucks involved in the accident. The UME paramedics treated and stabilized the two drivers (men aged 51 and 47), who were taken by non-medical ambulance to the Lorenzo Guirao regional hospital in Cieza.
