At 1:33 p.m., the 1-1-2 Emergency Coordination Center in the Murcia Region received a call reporting a forest fire on the Venta del Olivo > Jumilla Highway, opposite the Sierra Picarcho > Jumilla mountain range, in the municipality of Cieza.
Environmental agents, firefighters from the Murcia Region Fire and Rescue Consortium, forestry brigades from the Forest Fire Defense Unit of the General Directorate of Natural Heritage, and a helicopter from the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies have been dispatched to the scene.
Environmental Agent reports that 2,500 meters of esparto grass have burned.
The DGSE helicopter, environmental agent, and forestry brigade withdraw to the base.
At 6:50 p.m. the fire was extinguished.
