23:12 hours.- Personnel from the Infomur Plan have been deployed to the Isla area, where the Iron Bridge is located in Cieza, to extinguish the declared forest fire.
The 1-1-2 Emergency Coordination Center of the Region of Murcia received several calls (21), reporting the location of the fire, in an area where the Iron Bridge is located, close to homes.
The following personnel have been deployed to the scene of the fire:
– Firefighters from the Fire and Rescue Consortium of the Region of Murcia
– Local Police of Cieza
– Civil Guard
– Environmental agent and forestry brigade
The local environmental agent reports that the fire is spreading through a wooded area, affecting approximately 5,000 square meters. The Forestry Coordinator has activated two additional forestry brigades to work on the blaze. Volunteers from the Cieza Civil Protection service have also joined the effort.
01:14 hours. Firefighters report that the fire is now under control. Work continues in the fire zone to secure the perimeter and prevent the fire from reigniting.
02:57 hours A firefighting technician reports that the fire is under control. Personnel are gradually withdrawing, leaving forestry brigades and environmental agents on site to ensure the remaining hotspots are extinguished and to remove any embers that could reignite the blaze. Local police in Cieza are attempting to locate the owner of a livestock farm in the area to grant access to his property, as smoke is emanating from the straw storage area.

4086 m2 of forest area and 2077 m2 of agricultural land have burned.
