The changes will go into effect this Thursday, September 14.

Sources from the Cieza City Council's Transportation Department have reported that changes have been made to the urban bus route and schedule with a view to improving the service, making it more agile and convenient to meet user needs and encouraging the use of this mode of transport.

Starting this Thursday, the bus will begin its route in Ascoy at 7:40 a.m., up from 7:15 a.m. This first route will stop at the Los Albares High School and conclude at the Lorenzo Guirao Hospital.

From this point, the regular service will begin, reducing the time previously established at each stop by half and increasing the number of routes. Until now, the service frequency was every hour and a half, but starting this Thursday, that time will be reduced by half to 45 minutes.

This is how the route looks like

Finally, the biggest change is the variation in the last route of the morning, which will have the following itinerary: Hospital Lorenzo Guirao, Funeral Home – IES Los Albares, Camino Murcia – Gran Vía, Plaza de Las Cortes, Plaza de España, Avenida Ramón y Cajal (Colegio Madre del Divino Pastor), Avenida Ramón y Cajal (SUAP medical center) and the town of Ascoy.

Transport Councillor Cristo Manuel Lucas explained that "these changes will be detailed at each stop so that citizens have accurate information. They do not necessarily have to be definitive, but are being made with the aim of improving the service for users. They may be subject to changes in the future if we find that it does not produce the expected results. These changes revolve around two ideas: making this service more practical for passengers and encouraging greater use among the population."
