The Cieza City Council has defined its Electric Mobility Action Plan for the next year within the framework of the European E-MOB project "Integrated Actions to Improve Electric Mobility in European Regions."

The Action Plan highlights the establishment of an electric vehicle charging station with photovoltaic (PV) power for public vehicles and the general public. This measure will be combined with outreach and communication efforts to convey the benefits of electric mobility and renewable energy.

This initiative complements activities carried out in recent months, such as the acquisition of electric vehicles for municipal workers, the establishment of new charging stations, the implementation of a citizen survey, and the 6th Automobile Fair, in which the City Council participated with a stand on sustainable mobility.

The project, which concludes its first phase on July 31, is part of the Interreg Europe program and has involved nine partners from eight different countries. One of the final activities of this first phase was the consortium meeting held in Leipzig, where local best practices focused on electric public transport and shared mobility were discussed.

The second phase of the project, which will last one year, will focus on implementing and evaluating the Action Plan with a view to achieving continuous improvement in the coming years.
