With Christmas approaching, and with it the Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, Three Kings' Day and other recreational or leisure activities, the Cieza City Council reminds attendees, owners of premises and promoters of the same, that the Governing Council of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia has approved Decree-Law 4/2023, of November 23, on urgent measures regarding the sanctioning regime for public shows and occasional or extraordinary recreational activities and public establishments, in the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.

The violations and penalties are structured into the following areas: public shows and occasional or extraordinary recreational activities, admission and schedule, without prejudice to any other applicable regulations.

The new sanctioning regime will apply to establishments, shows, and activities carried out without a permit, which fail to comply with their terms, exceed their limits, or violate the prohibition or suspension ordered by the competent authority, as well as to any behavior that could endanger the safety of attendees, such as parties with a lack of capacity control, opening or closing outside of established hours, or when authorized, causing noise disturbance to neighbors, etc.

The fine can reach 500,000 euros, with the possibility of imposing a temporary suspension of licenses, authorizations, or permits, disqualification from engaging in the same activity in which the violation was committed, or revocation of the license or authorization.

Both the owners of the facilities and the promoters and organizers will be jointly liable for any administrative violations committed therein by those participating in the show or activity and by those under their supervision, when they fail to fulfill their duty to prevent the violation.
