Students at the Don José Marín school in Cieza have inaugurated four new, more functional and adapted classrooms designed for educational support. The Regional Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Víctor Marín, along with the City Councillor for Education, María Turpín, and the school's principal, Pablo Piñera, visited the new classrooms today, which will serve nearly one hundred students aged 3 to 12.

The works involved the complete demolition of the old classrooms to create an open-plan space that allowed for a more functional layout, better suited to the school's needs, with the creation of four new classrooms. The largest classroom will be used for general education support, while the other three will be used for specialized support in therapeutic pedagogy and speech and language therapy. CEIP Don José Marín has a total of 23 classrooms.

The Minister of Education emphasized that “the addition of these four new classrooms reinforces the regional government's commitment to addressing diversity, providing better resources to the region's schools to offer quality education where no student is left behind.”

The investment for the comprehensive renovation and adaptation of the new spaces amounts to €75,000. Among the completed works are the installation of metalwork that improves the center's insulation, new doors, completely renovated restrooms, and the adaptation of the electrical system to current regulations, prioritizing efficiency and energy savings.
