The opening of the 25th anniversary exhibition will take place next Thursday, May 23rd, at 8:00 p.m. at the Padre Salmerón Library in Cieza. The exhibition covers the period from 1999, the year of its founding, to the current year, 2024, as shown in the poster by artist Mariano Rojas Marín. The exhibition will remain open until June 11th.

An exhibition that aims to disseminate to the general public the cultural and research work carried out by the association's members, with more than one hundred members from Cieza and beyond, who work to research, recover, and disseminate the natural, historical, artistic, industrial, and cultural heritage of Cieza and the Region of Murcia.

A great deal of work and cultural initiatives are reflected in numerous publications, trips, lecture series, and performances to preserve the heritage, history, and culture of this land and its people. Among these publications is the magazine Andelma, which began in 2002 as a simple newsletter for members and, after 32 issues, has now become a scientific journal that includes works on Cieza and the entire Region of Murcia, available in both print and electronic editions. It also includes numerous specialized books and monographs.

At the opening, the event will be introduced by its president, Francisco Javier Salmerón Giménez, who will talk about the association's 25 years of work. Afterward, the exhibition curator, Manuela Caballero González, will explain the structure and layout of the exhibit. At the end, attendees will be given a gift and a Spanish wine will be offered.
