The Local Sports Council, chaired by Mayor Tomás Rubio, met this Wednesday afternoon at the Padre Salmerón Municipal Library, where proposals for the final guidelines for the calls for grants for athletes, events, and sports clubs for the 2023-2024 period were analyzed. These grants, included in the budget amendment approved in November, will be activated after the incorporation of surplus funds from the 2024 budget settlement.

Sports Councilor Cristo Manuel Lucas emphasized the importance and productivity of this session, highlighting the representation of all local sports organizations and political groups present in the council.

In addition, the mayor announced that the town's future Sports Museum will be located in the recently renovated Molino Capdevila, a space that will enhance the municipality's sporting and cultural heritage.
