The plenary session held last Tuesday, November 5, approved the modification of the regulations of the Municipal Sports Council. This council, which for the previous four years had already opened up participation and decision-making to clubs, collectives, and athletes, aims to take this new step forward with the incorporation of new representatives from new disciplines not yet represented in this participatory body for Ciezan sports.
In this way, the council is expanded with a representative from women's sport, to school sport with a representative from the Local Council for Children and Adolescents, to athletes over 50 years of age or those athletes who participate or have participated in national and international competitions, or those amateur athletes who use municipal facilities. In the same way, it is also opened to the world of sports medicine and physiotherapy, to sports in nature, in short, in the words of the sports councilor Carlos Semitiel, "to more and new voices that allow us to have a global vision, fulfilling the objective of adapting this representative body to the new changes and realities of sport in our city."
