'Your Creative Vision' has closed its second edition with another success in participation in its educational project, having mobilized some 4,000 students from 47 primary schools in the Region of Murcia to raise awareness about the importance of taking care of their vision and, in addition, fostering their curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity by designing their own glasses.

The competition was organized by the Institute for Development, the European Center for Business and Innovation of Murcia, and Ópticas y Audiología LUPER, in collaboration with CaixaBank, Instituto 42, and Terra Natura. The competition encouraged students aged 6 to 12 to express their vision of "The Family" through their artistic creations.

We seek children's creativity and imagination.

The event has become an effective tool for developing children's creativity and imagination, as well as helping them express their ideas and emotions artistically. It's also a means for them to discover new skills that support their current and future learning from different perspectives, as well as explore the world around them and find innovative solutions to any challenge.

"We're amazed by the reception this project has received in the Region of Murcia for another year. We will continue working on educational initiatives that help foster students' creativity and raise awareness about something as important as myopia," explains Adolfo Ortiz, CEO of LUPER.

The competition was divided into two phases. The first phase consisted of the online selection of the 10 finalists by a public jury, which received a total of 51,613 votes. The second phase involved the presentation of the selected designs by their authors to a panel of experts in business entrepreneurship, creativity, and design, among other disciplines.

The final of the competition took place in the CEEIM Auditorium, where teachers, family members, and friends of the competing children gathered.

Awards

The contest winner, Pablo Penalva Piñera, received a trip to Disneyland Paris for four people (two adults and two children).

The prize was also awarded to María Dolores Baños Saorín, a teacher from Jaime Balmes School and tutor of the winning student. She won two nights for two at the Asia Gardens Hotel & Thai Spa in Benidorm. The 154 participating teachers, who registered 15 or more students for the contest, received sunglasses from LUPER.

Gifts from Terra Natura were also raffled off among the audience.

LUPER is a Murcian optician and audiologist based in 100% that has been participating in various activities at the European center since 2019, in its awareness of corporate social responsibility, applied to early-stage entrepreneurship and the technological field.

This competition is part of the CEEIM's initiatives to foster an entrepreneurial spirit from an early age and is part of the UPAi 2024 Project, which is funded with ERDF funds from the European Union, through grants from the Institute for the Promotion of the Region of Murcia, aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship.
