The Cieza City Council and the Area IX Management, through the two health centers in the municipality, have once again celebrated the 'Health Market' at the weekly market, which was visited by the mayor, Tomás Rubio, the manager of Health Area IX, Juan de Dios Cánovas, and the councilor for Health, Francisco Martínez.
The stand has been located in the Parque del Toro, next to the Plaza de Toros, throughout the morning.
The objective of this activity has been to provide a space to promote participation, the promotion of community health among citizens, as well as to generate links for networking within the municipality of Cieza and its primary care teams, with the collaboration of all citizens.
Information has been provided on different aspects of health and how to preserve it, healthy lifestyle habits, recommendations on the importance of the preservation and use of medicines, prevention of diabetes, menopause, the patient portal of the Murcian Health Service and other topics of interest for community health.
This activity has been planned for the general population, paying special attention to people over 65 and under 12 years of age.
Similarly, numerous citizens have been vaccinated on-site against the flu and COVID.
