The amount of 122,000 euros will be financed in a 80% through the call for financial aid charged to the The Government of Spain's Transformation, Recovery, and Resilience Plan; the remaining 2019-2023 will be assumed by the City Council.

The project presented by the Department of Culture was the third best among the 51 applications submitted for the call and focuses on four areas: audio and communications, lighting systems, video systems, and modernization of the theater to improve efficiency and energy savings. According to the Councilor for Culture, Concepción Villa, "The presentation of the project has required many hours of work and dedication from the governing team and the technical team in charge. The work is always worthwhile when it improves the quality of our facilities and the lives of the people of Cieza."

Villa explains, "There will be significant improvements in the sound equipment, which will move from analog to digital technology. We are pleased because the magnetic loop system will also be incorporated, a digital hearing aid system that works via Bluetooth and allows hearing aids to connect directly to the sound system, allowing people with hearing impairments to hear the performances in the best possible way."

It's worth adding that improvements will be made to lighting quality through the incorporation of LED technology, which will help reduce light pollution, while also reducing CO2 emissions and significantly reducing energy consumption.

Work on incorporating these technologies will begin in a few months and will be compatible with the theater's programming.
