El viernes se activa nivel amarillo de alerta por fuertes vientos

Due to the strong gusts of wind expected on Friday, a yellow alert level will be activated in Cieza, the entire Vega Alta region, the Northwest, and the Altiplano.

Gusts could reach 70 km/h, and will remain active between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with winds blowing from the west.

If you are in your home

Close and secure doors, windows or awnings.
Remove flower pots and all other objects that could fall into the street and cause an accident.

If you are on the street or in the field

In the city, it's a good idea to stay away from ledges, walls, or trees that could become detached, and to take precautions in front of buildings under construction or in poor condition.
Be aware of street furniture, cranes, and any other items that could fall or be swept away by the wind.
Refrain from climbing high and wind-exposed places, such as scaffolding or other structures, without adequate protective measures.
In the mountains, take extreme caution and do not approach or walk on the cliffs.
Please note that wind can lead to snow accumulation, increasing the risk of avalanches.

If you are going to travel

Given the forecast for strong winds, it is important to avoid traveling on the road, and if necessary, take extreme precautions due to the possible presence of obstacles on the road.
Slow down and maintain the vehicle's trajectory; it is important to hold the steering wheel firmly.
Be careful when overtaking and maintain adequate lateral distances from other vehicles.
If you drive large vehicles or vehicles with trailers, take extra care as you are at greater risk of leaving the road or overturning.
