The Cieza-based Voleadores club was crowned champion in the Youth and Cadet categories of the VI Spanish Cup held this weekend in Valladolid.
First it was the men's cadet team, and hours later the men's junior team repeated the feat.
The children's team lost their semifinal and finished fourth in the consolation final at the tournament held in Guadalajara.
Semifinals in Valladolid
Wefferent Mintonette Almería and Fincas La Gatera Voleadores de Cieza battled this Sunday to become the champion of the Spanish Men's Cadet Cup after beating Neumáticos Pinto VB Ribera and CVC Villalba in the semifinals. The Almeria team defeated the Badajoz team in a close match by 1-2 (25-22/16-25/7-15), while the Murcia team improved against the Madrid team to defeat them 2-0 (25-21/25-10).
The men's youth category enjoyed a great final between CVS Const. M. Galindo Soller and Fincas La Gatera de Cieza. In the semifinals, the Balearic team defeated CV Hervás A 2-0 (25-17/25-19), while the Murcian team defeated CV Valencia 0-2 (19-25/21-25) in a hard-fought encounter.

The Copa España concluded this Sunday with a spectacular edition and impressive numbers. 17 facilities, 49 simultaneous courts, 231 teams, and 3,696 participants are some of the impressive sporting figures that drive the event with the largest participation in national volleyball. These figures are complemented by the 155 referees and 100 volunteers who make it possible to play 793 matches.
