The SEF is launching this program in which unemployed people will receive guidance and motivation to find employment with the help of a 'coach'.

Cehegín, Cieza and San Pedro del Pinatar will be the municipalities where the initiative will be launched.

The Ministry of Employment, Research and Universities, through the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF), is going to launch a new edition of the '100x100 Activation' program that will allow 180 unemployed people to get involved in an intensive team job search in order to find employment in a period of one hundred days.

This was announced today by Councilor Miguel Motas, who indicated that "the first three towns where the first groups of 20 people will start will be Cehegín, Cieza and San Pedro del Pinatar."

Participants will work under the guidance of a coach to find a job, if not within the timeframe set by the program, then in the shortest possible period.

In fact, the figures from past editions of this initiative, which has been developed by the SEF together with the company Iniciativas Locales since 2016, indicate that half of its participants have found work within the time frame established by the program, an insertion rate that approaches 70 percent if they exceed 150 days.

Miguel Motas pointed out that “with the support of these positive job placement figures, we are once again committed to an innovative program that gives center stage to job seekers, fostering in them a proactive, dynamic, committed and supportive attitude to achieve the shared goal of all: to access the labor market or develop their own business idea.”

Each edition of '100x100 Activation' is carried out in three distinct phases. In the first phase, three groups of 20 people begin in three municipalities of the Region, who then hand over the reins to another three teams of 20 people in three different locations, and these in turn to another three teams. In previous editions, groups of 25 people worked, but due to the measures adopted because of Covid-19, this time the number has been reduced to 20 people.

Looking for a job in a different way

The '100x100 Activation' program is based on an innovative method that allows participants to search for work in a different way, as part of a coordinated and cohesive group, approaching the search process as a 100-day sprint in which they must give 100% to optimize their job-finding skills. This is all done under the guidance of a coach.

This 'coach' is also the one who helps each participant to discover their qualities and optimize them to obtain a job contract, if not within the timeframe set by the program, then in the shortest possible period.

To achieve this, a work schedule is established in which, during the first few weeks, a specific job search plan is developed for each participant based on their skills and abilities. In the following weeks, the focus shifts to intensifying efforts to identify job openings, visiting companies, and submitting resumes.
