The Department of Youth has launched the Counseling and Psychological Support Service at the Géneros de Punto Youth Center with the goal of improving the mental health, social integration, and socio-emotional well-being of local youth.
Adolescence and young adulthood involve significant changes at the family, social, and emotional levels, which can easily lead to emotional distress, relationship difficulties, and self-dissatisfaction. Young people often encounter situations and experiences that are difficult to understand and accept due to their novelty, the uncertainty of facing the unknown, and the emotional intensity with which some of these changes are experienced. Therefore, it is necessary to support the learning of new skills, self-awareness, and emotional self-regulation so they can more confidently cope with the stresses of this stage and build a future that allows them to develop their potential and independence.
This service is aimed at young people aged 13 to 30. They can access a safe, free, anonymous, and confidential space for personalized listening and support, enabling them to address their concerns and difficulties and develop the skills necessary to face everyday challenges.
Questions we ask ourselves…
It is a space designed for you if…?
Do you get frustrated easily?
Do you find it difficult to control your emotions?
Do you often feel like no one understands you?
Do you try, but you can't resolve differences with friends and family?
Are you going through a difficult family situation?
Do you get stuck when you have to make a decision?
Are you afraid of not being accepted?
Are you often sad and don't know why?
Or any other situation that requires psychological support and guidance. Here you will find a space for individual and group care where you can express, share, and seek solutions to the concerns that interfere with your well-being.
Care for minors under 16 years of age requires prior authorization from the mother and father.
