When Faemino and Cansado take on the creation of a new show, their first concern is achieving excellence. They don't always achieve this. For example, in ¡Quien tenía retenedor! (Whoever Had Retained!), they certainly don't.
When deciding on the theme for their new show, they usually discard any previously developed ideas. This wasn't the case with ¡Quien tenía retuvo! (Who Had Retained!) When they come up with the staging for their new show, they try to never repeat any elements, whether it's scenery or lighting.
In ¡Quién tuvo retuvo! (Who Had Retained!), it wasn't possible. Ultimately, if it's not excellent, there's no theme, they're repetitive, and it's cheap, what does ¡Quien tuvo retuvo! (Who Had Retained!) contribute to Faemino and Cansado's careers? Well, two things, each more important than the other: laughter and reminiscences.
