Candlemas Festival 2018 – PARISH OF SAN JOAQUIN CIEZA
On the occasion of the celebration of Candlemas, or the Feast of the Presentation, the Parish of San Joaquín invites you to bring your child who was baptized last year to church. Godparents and the entire community of Cieza are also invited.
On February 2nd, Mass will be held at 5:30 p.m., followed by a procession with the image of the Virgin and Child. The Brotherhood of the Most Holy Christ of Forgiveness and the Virgin of Beautiful Love will collaborate. A group of musicians from the Cieza Conservatory of Music will also participate.
In this way, we accompany the Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph when they carried their Child to the Temple. With this feast, we wish to celebrate the gift of life received from God through our parents and the commitment to proclaim the Gospel of life entrusted to us by Jesus Christ.
