ACIFAD (Cieza Association of Relatives of People with Alzheimer's Disease and Other Dementias) has organized a week of events to commemorate World Alzheimer's Day and raise awareness among the people of Cieza about this issue.
Various events have taken place this week, such as:
The placement of information banners at the corner of the Convent, Paseo de Jose Antonio Camacho, and Parque del Toro.
Opening of the works created by our users in the Silk Scarf Painting Workshop in the "La Bóveda" Room of the Siyâsa Museum on San Sebastián Street. The works will be on display from September 15th to 24th during museum hours.
"Open House." We invite all interested parties to come and learn more about the day-to-day operations of Acifad.
Mass in honor of deceased people with Alzheimer's disease, at the Church of San Juan Bosco.
Placement of an information stand and collection boxes at the Cieza weekly market, Esquina del Convento, and Mercadona on Gran Vía.
Talk “Basic care for patients with dementia at home” by Mario Aroca Lucas (Nurse at Caser Residencial).
And this Friday, September 22nd, starting at 11:00 a.m.: A social gathering for residents and their families will feature a performance by the "La Alegría" Variety Group from the IMAS Senior Center in Cieza at the Acifad Social Center.
And at 9:00 p.m.: Charity Gala "Night of New Stars" organized by the Independent Friends Group "Amigos Solidarios." Venue: Aurelio Guirao Auditorium. Tickets on sale at Acifad: €4.
