Plaza de España was filled with joy, music, and conviviality last Friday for the International Day of Families, a day organized to promote the values of unity and respect.

From early afternoon on, parents, children, grandparents, and young people gathered to participate in creative workshops, face painting, photo booths, and family tree creation.

These were some of the activities that enlivened the iconic square throughout the day.

The event was organized by the Department of Social Policies (Department of Social Welfare) in collaboration with the Cieza +Vida association, a local association working in the field of family affairs.

"The family is the pillar of our society. This day is intended to be a tribute to its essential role and an opportunity to share quality time together," said Gertrudis Juliá, Councilor for Social Policies.

The activity was highly rated by attendees, who appreciated the initiative for providing a safe and fun space for community sharing.
