The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has launched Operation Bombardino, an investigation aimed at solving a series of burglaries in several storage rooms in a block of flats in Cieza. This investigation has resulted in the arrest of a young man suspected of two counts of burglary.
The Civil Guard has recovered almost all of the stolen items, valued at 8,000 euros.
The investigation began last month when the Civil Guard learned of several burglaries in two storage rooms in a building in Cieza, from which various items were stolen, including a bicycle, musical instruments, and tools, among others.
The visual inspection revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the storage rooms, and that a fake key or similar key must have been used to access the terrace where they were located.
At the same time, investigators searched stores selling secondhand items, which resulted in the discovery of a bicycle and a euphonium (a musical instrument) that were recognized without question by their owners and subsequently recovered.
In this way, the person who had sold them was identified: a young man who was also found to be using various Internet platforms to sell the allegedly stolen items.
After a month of investigation, the Civil Guard caught the suspect driving a vehicle carrying several objects of dubious origin. He was arrested on suspicion of two counts of burglary.
Operation "Bombardino" has culminated in the investigation of two burglary cases and the recovery of the stolen goods, valued at 8,000 euros.
The detainee, the recovered belongings, and the investigations conducted have been placed at the disposal of the Cieza (Murcia) Court of Instruction.
