Late Friday morning, a saleswoman at a clothing store in Cieza reported that a customer had stolen a jacket from one of the store's changing rooms.
When he was surprised, he fled, which alerted another employee of a nearby store who followed him through several streets in the town and, upon seeing the alleged perpetrator enter a house, alerted the Cieza Local Police.
Once the patrol arrived, they interviewed the resident of the home where the alleged perpetrator had entered and were able to enter the property. They found him hiding under some blankets, with the stolen jacket still attached to him.
Following these events, the person was taken to police headquarters and the Cieza Civil Guard was subsequently tasked with preparing the relevant report.
