The Mariano Rojas Municipal Sports Center hosted the second training session for local police canine officers from 26 municipalities in Murcia, Alicante, and Almería on Tuesday, organized by the Cieza Local Police.

Mayor Tomás Rubio and Councilor for Animal Welfare, María Turpín, visited the participants at the beginning of the day, and were welcomed by the chief inspector of the Cieza municipal body, María José Hernández.

The participating canine units received training and instructions to search for psychotropic substances in open spaces, as well as inside buildings and vehicles.

Dog units from Archena, Abarán, Cehegín, Jumilla, Las Torres de Cotillas, Calasparra, Caravaca de la Cruz, Moratalla, Santomera, Águilas, Los Alcázares, Lorca, Molina de Segura, Santa Pola, Berja, Vera, Almansa, Villajoyosa, Mazarrón, Alicante and Cieza took part.
