For the second consecutive year, the Brotherhood of Christ of Forgiveness of Cieza is organizing the "City of Cieza Triathlon," which will take place next Saturday, June 16, at 6:00 p.m., starting at Arenal, next to the Iron Bridge, and finishing at the Era Football Field.

The race will consist of a 1,000-meter swim, a 20-kilometer bike ride, and a 6-kilometer run.

The Triathlon consists firstly of the swimming test, from the Arenal area at the Puente de Hierro (Canoeing Club) to the pier of the Era Football Field, secondly they will have to complete a bicycle circuit passing through the Paseo Ribereño until reaching the Jinete where they will start again the march to the Vereda de Lopo, where they will leave their bicycles, and they will begin running two laps on a circuit along the banks of the Segura River until reaching the finish line located in the parking lot of the Era Football Field, where the trophies will later be awarded to the first classified in the different categories.

Test regulations

Article 1. The 2nd Cieza City Triathlon will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018.

Article 2. Categories and schedules: The test will start at 6:00 p.m.

Cadet, Junior, Under-23Absolute, Veterans I, Veterans II and Veterans III.

The paratriathlon and local categories are also established, in which only the distinction between sexes is established.

The category Absolute It includes all participants according to the order of arrival at the finish line.

The start is set at El Jardín del Arenal, next to the Segura River, and the finish will be located at the “La Era” soccer field.

Article 3.  The 2nd Cieza City Triathlon is an event included in the Official Calendar of the Murcia Region Triathlon Federation, governed by the Federation's technical regulations and with Drafting. The event will count towards the League and Mega League.

Article 4.  The event will be supervised by the Judges and Officials Committee of the Murcia Region Triathlon Federation.

Article 5. In accordance with the FTRM regulations, all participants in this event must have a Triathlon Federation License, and those participants who do not have the aforementioned license will be issued mandatory one-day insurance.

Article 6.  Distances and circuits to cover:

The distance of the segment swimming will be of 1,000 meters. in river, the segment of cycling of 20 km. and the foot race will be of5 km. measured and officially approved by the Judges Committee of the Murcian Triathlon Federation.

Article 7. A refreshment station will be available throughout the race and at the finish line for all participants.

Article 8. The only vehicles authorized to follow the test will be those designated by the organization and the technical delegate of the test, who will be duly accredited.

Article 9. By registering, the runner releases the race organizers from any physical or moral damages they may suffer during the race or as a result of it.

As a participant in this competition, I give the organizers and the FTRM permission to use my image in images obtained during the competition for legitimate purposes.

All participants, by taking the start, accept these race regulations.

Article 10. Race numbers will be collected at the “La Era” football field from 3:00 p.m. until 15 minutes before the start of the race.

Article 11.  Both to enter and to remove material from the transition area, the participant's federation license or ID is required.

Article 12. Registration and payment by card will be made exclusively on the page www.trimurcia.es , being the only form of payment accepted. The registration period ends on the date determined by the federation itself or when all the places offered (250) are filled.

 The registration fee for members will be 22 euros.

Non-members will receive a 10 euro increase.

A quota of 250 participants is established.

Registrations will not be accepted after the deadline, nor on the day of the test.

Article 13. All participants accept these rules by starting the race. In case of doubt, the opinion of the Race Technical Delegate and the Race Organizers will prevail, and any changes to the race program may be interpreted or modified up until the day of the race.

Article 14. Awards:

Trophies will be awarded:

To the top three in each category. And to the top three in the senior category. In addition, the following cash prizes will be awarded for the senior category:

1er Prize 200 euros

2nd Prize 100 euros

3er Prize 50 euros

The following prizes will also be awarded:

Ø Club with the highest participation.

Ø Older triathlete.

Ø Youngest triathlete.

The trophies and prizes will be presented at the end of the event on the "La Era" soccer field. Gifts and various sports equipment donated by sponsoring and collaborating companies will be raffled off among all participants. (Runner's bag for all participants)

Article 15. Claims and appeals:

Following the FETRI regulations, any participant or coach from any of the registered clubs may make claims about the provisional results or sanctions applied by the officials, with the test being adjusted to the FETRI regulations.
