The Mayor of Cieza, Tomás Rubio, attended the opening of the exhibition of works from the People's University this Wednesday, in what was one of his first public events since his inauguration on June 17. He was accompanied by the First Deputy Mayor, Jesús Castaño, and the Councilors for Museums and Culture, Amparo Belmonte and María Turpín, respectively.
The opening was attended by the director of the Municipal Museum Service, Joaquín Salmerón, and the two instructors of the crafts, dressmaking, regional costume embroidery, and restoration workshops. These are the works produced by the students during the 2022/23 academic year. The exhibition will be open to the public until June 29th on Level 0 of the Siyâsa Museum.
Rubio welcomed the attendees and praised the quality of the works on display, congratulating both the students and teachers. He also took advantage of his remarks to introduce the Councilor for Museums and the other council members who had accompanied him at the event. After the opening, the instructors guided the municipal officials through the exhibition.
