As part of the "Coffee-Conversation" program of activities taking place at the Atalaya-Ateneo Club in the town of Cieza, on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at 4:30 p.m., Joaquim Bosch, former spokesperson for Judges for Democracy, will present his book, "The Homeland in the Wallet: Past and Present of Corruption in Spain."
"The Homeland in Your Wallet" is a well-reasoned reflection that delves into the unique aspects of corruption in Spain. Joaquim Bosch approaches these problems from a novel perspective, employing a cross-disciplinary approach that encompasses fields such as history, law, criminal policy, ethics, and sociology. His central thesis is that, while corruption in Spain has deep roots, it was during Franco's dictatorship that it acquired institutional dimensions that persist to this day, constituting one of the most deeply troubling problems in Spanish politics.
