The Youth Department is making its technical team available to advise young people in Cieza on the process of applying for the Youth Rental Voucher, assuming a new service, "in the face of the López Miras administration's lack of foresight," according to municipal sources from the Cieza City Council.
They clarify that the Young Persons' Rental Bonus is a financial aid provided by the Spanish Government and will consist of a financial contribution of up to €250 per month for two years. The Bonus is compatible with other aid from the 2022-2025 State Housing Access Plan. Applications for the aid are now open; the application period will close on May 30, 2023.
The goal of the Youth Rental Bonus is to facilitate access to housing for young people to help them in their journey to independence. Marta Sánchez, Councilor for Youth, announced that "Cieza City Council is making the technical resources of the Youth Department available to address any questions that young people in Cieza may have regarding the processing and management of the grant. Cieza is taking on a new service that should be provided by the Autonomous Community."
Those interested can go to the office located in the Capitol Theater on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. by prior appointment request at juventud@cieza.es or at 968764353. Once the appointment has been requested, technical staff will inform users of the procedure to follow.
To be eligible for this Bonus, a series of requirements must be met, the most notable of which are:
- Be between 18 and 35 years old
- That the annual income does not exceed 3 times the IPREM (€24,318)
