Cieza-born karateka Ángel Turpin Abellán has won the gold medal in the Junior -60kG kumite category at the Grand Final of the National Karate League.
This victory joins the other two in the First Phase in Pamplona and the one in the Second Phase held in Guadalajara, which has allowed them to finish first in the National League Ranking, obtaining the title of Grand Winner.
This is the first time a Murcian has achieved Grand Winner status in any category of the National Karate League, and he is one of the few Spanish karatekas who has managed to remain unbeaten in every bout of the championship.
On December 19th, he holds the final championship of the 2020 season, where he will attempt to win gold and become the Spanish Junior Kumite Champion in the -60kg youth kumite category.
