The Community has set up a free coronavirus hotline to address citizens' requests and questions. The number 900121212 will be available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., to answer any questions you may have regarding the global spread of this virus.
Furthermore, in case of emergencies or suspected cases of coronavirus, it is recommended to contact the single emergency number 1-1-2, which operates 24 hours a day.
The Ministry of Health reiterates its message of calm and caution, as the Region is prepared and has the most qualified healthcare resources and professionals to detect and control suspected cases.
All health departments in the Region of Murcia are working in an organized manner and in constant contact to establish appropriate measures in the event of a potential case, and are acting at all times in accordance with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health.
Health Minister Manuel Villegas is participating today in the extraordinary meeting of the Interterritorial Health Council convened by the Ministry to continue working in coordination with this body, which sets the level of organization and confirms cases.
This coordination is important to strengthen awareness-raising and early detection measures for the coronavirus, establishing appropriate measures in the event of a positive case.
Likewise, the regional monitoring group remains in constant contact to update information and analyze the scope of this infection, of which no cases have been detected in the Region.
It's important to remember that if you experience symptoms, you're advised to see a doctor and take the same precautions you would take to prevent the flu, such as avoiding close contact with people with acute respiratory infections, washing your hands frequently, and maintaining extreme cleanliness and hygiene.
