The regional government will allocate 600,000 euros to build a new security center in the old fish market building in Cieza, as part of the 'Region of Murcia + Safe' strategy.

The grant for the building's renovation covers almost the entire cost of the project, which has an estimated budget of €650,000. The project, which has already been drafted, will be put out to tender soon.

The new facilities will house all the municipality's security and emergency services, that is, both the Local Police Station and Civil Protection and the Mobile Emergency Unit of the 061 Management.

"This represents a clear step forward in providing a better service to citizens," said the Minister of the Presidency, Spokesperson, Foreign Action and Emergencies, Marcos Ortuño, who visited the old building today, accompanied by the mayor of Cieza, Tomás Rubio.

The new police station, prepared for future staff expansions, will have a specific control room for the municipality's security and traffic cameras, as well as a report room, facilities for Citizen Security, Environment and Police Tutor work, in addition to an auditorium and training room and a gym.
