“The agreement signed with the president of FREMM establishes the first visible steps in the work being done to combat unemployment in Cieza, providing training tailored to the needs of the business sector,” stated Mayor Pascual Lucas. Furthermore, following efforts by the Employment Department, El Pozo has contacted FREMM to offer specialized training to those taking the course at IES Los Albares, with a high probability of direct employment, according to municipal sources.

The Department of Employment and Economic Development has reported that, following the framework agreement signed between Mayor Pascual Lucas and Juan Antonio Muñoz, president of the Regional Federation of Metal Businessmen of Murcia (FREMM), a workshop with FREMM is planned in Cieza to improve the employability of the local population and strengthen the competitiveness of the local production network.

This event will take place at the end of February at the Los Albares Secondary School, where information will be provided about the training programs offered by this organization. The event will place particular emphasis on robotics and electromechanical training, as these are the most in-demand skills within our local business community. The training is primarily aimed at the unemployed and includes a transportation allowance.

Similarly, thanks to the signing of this framework agreement, the company El Pozo, through FREMM, recently contacted the Los Albares educational center and the Department of Employment and Economic Development to collect registrations for the Electromechanics course, which has a hiring commitment.

As part of the Local Development and Revitalization Plan, the City Council states that various courses have been launched to meet the needs of Cieza's business community. Additionally, contact has been made with companies so that those trained can also find employment in neighboring municipalities. The next initiative to continue combating unemployment will be the opening of Cieza's youth counseling center in the former fish market building.

Antonio Moya highlighted the results of the work carried out by the council: “Training brings jobs, and the best example is the El Pozo case; the fact that a multinational like this contacted FREMM because of the initiative we've undertaken is a sign that we're on the right track. We're going to continue fighting unemployment in Cieza; we're continuing to work for Cieza and its people.”
