Given the current epidemiological situation, the Ministry of Health has decided to install an antigen testing and vaccination point in the municipality of Cieza aimed at the general population in order to locate and stop the chains of transmission of asymptomatic cases of COVID-19.
To this end, the Autonomous Community has requested the collaboration of the City Council's resources and infrastructure in order to allow the logistical organization to be efficient, fast and with the least possible inconvenience for users.
This Antigen Testing/Vaccination point will be located in a public place, easily accessible and with a high volume of people, in order to carry out the maximum number of tests possible.
The antigen testing/vaccination site will be located at the corner of the Convent. Its hours will be from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on December 23 and 30, 2021.
The Councilor for Health, Melba Miñano, has confirmed that the Cieza City Council will once again collaborate with the Regional Government by providing Public Health with equipment and infrastructure for the emergency facility. The councilor emphasized that "we are once again making ourselves available to the regional health authorities, as we have done since the beginning of the pandemic, providing facilities, public spaces, equipment, and personnel, as was the case, for example, with the contact tracing team, to help in every way possible to combat the effects of the coronavirus and prevent as many infections as possible. Therefore, I encourage the general public to get vaccinated and to take antigen tests on the designated dates if they suspect they may have been infected, in order to prevent the transmission of the virus."
