Beat It is a collection of poems that contains, in the words of the Cieza-born author himself, hundreds of emotional wounds that have been healed word after word and verse after verse. A work into which he has poured all his strength, his entire soul, into a single goal, far beyond pleasing the reader: the purpose of raising eyebrows and sharing, through his words, his emotions.
This collection of poems, in addition to verses that always seek the heartbeat behind wounds, is made up of images by Manolo Saura (A Little Paper Boat); José María Toledo (a column of refugees—without shelter); and Antonio Urdiales (a bird preparing to fly from a wire fence), which further enrich the work.
