The mayor of Cieza, Tomás Rubio, chaired the Local Security Committee at City Hall this Friday. The goal was to coordinate the special operation for the Fair and Festivities in honor of San Bartolomé 2023, with the aim of ensuring close cooperation between the municipality's various security forces that will ensure the smooth running of the patron saint celebrations.

In addition to the mayor, the meeting was also attended by the Secretary General of the Government Delegation, the commanders of the Local Police and Civil Guard, the Councilor for Citizen Security and Police, a representative of the government team, and officials from the General Directorate of Emergencies.

The objective for the periods of August 23-31 is to strengthen security and ensure special surveillance at the various fairgrounds in La Era, Plaza de España, and the carousel area, where the crowds are high, as well as at the spaces designated for the craft market on Paseo José Antonio Camacho and the San Bartolomé Brotherhood festivals on the Balcón del Muro.

For this purpose, a device integrated by agents of the Local Police of Cieza, Civil Guard, private security, has been approved, Civil Protection volunteers, health workers and firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium of the Region of Murcia.
