At the Capitol ceremony, seven new agent positions were announced to reinforce the staff, along with the acquisition of new non-lethal weapons, the allocation of the commissioner position for Cieza, and ongoing training for members of the Corps.
The Cieza Local Police celebrated their anniversary this Sunday with a Mass where the new uniforms were blessed, an official greeting from the mayor, the councilor for Police, and the chief inspector at the headquarters entrance (accompanied by a performance from the Municipal Band), and a ceremony at the Capitol Theater where awards and diplomas were presented recognizing the merits accumulated by officers during their service over the past year. The officers were accompanied by their families, as well as local, regional, and national authorities.
Following the mass held at the Church of San José Obrero, the officers assembled at the entrance to the police headquarters on Avenida de Abarán. The Municipal Band played the police anthem and the Spanish national anthem.

Afterwards, Tomás Rubio and Jesús Castaño presented awards recognizing the merits of police officers throughout the year, including a tribute to María José Hernández for her 25 years of service and to Officer Eduardo Pérez.
