This Friday, February 21st, at 7:00 p.m., the Siyâsa Museum will host the presentation of José Antonio Vergara's debut novel, "El Violin" (Editorial Club Universitario, 2024), in an event hosted by Joaquín Salmerón and Javier Gómez. This event is included in the cultural agenda of the Department of Museums.
According to the book's promotional text, "The title of this book is deliberately explicit. A violin, which my grandfather bought for my father from a traveling gypsy in the 1940s, will reveal a secret that goes beyond the imaginable and, why not admit it, beyond the sensible. Around this magical object, forgotten for eight decades at the back of a closet, a plot unfolds that swings between the real and the seemingly imaginary, between the shadows and lights of the story's protagonist. It is no coincidence that the story is written in the first person, nor is its outcome."
