Sources from the Cieza City Council have reported that the III Emergency Intervention Battalion (BIEM III) will be trained, among the October 18th and 22nd, in a multi-risk training exercise in the Region of Murcia, in preparation for the rescue and flood campaign.
The Military Emergency Unit will be deployed in the Region of Murcia between October 18 and 22., with the aim of developing a multi-risk training exercise, focused on preparing for the rescue and flood campaign. In total, 340 soldiers with 128 vehicles from BIEM III those projected from Valencia to the towns of Cieza and Calasparra, where logistics bases will be established.
In addition, there will be support from the Emergency Helicopter Battalion II (BHELEME II). The main objectives of the exercise include carrying out a real activation and projection by road of the entire Battalion, the search and rescue of missing persons in floods, the rescue and evacuation of victims in earthquakes, the securing of collapsed buildings and the installation of a first-aid post.
