The Los Dormis Cultural Association presented the organization of its 1st 7-a-side Football Tournament at a press conference this Wednesday. This tournament, in collaboration with the Cieza City Council's Sports Department, will be held at the La Arboleja facilities on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 24, 25, and 26, respectively.

The presentation was attended by the president of Los Dormis, Antonio Gómez, and Carlos Semitiel, Councilor for Sports.

Registration is still open to participate in this event, which combines sportsmanship and fun. The competition will feature a maximum of 16 teams, and the draw for the matches will be held on Thursday the 23rd at 9:00 p.m. at the Los Dormis House Museum.

Antonio Gómez commented that "24-hour football tournaments have always been a hallmark of sports practice in Cieza during the summer. With this first edition, we'll kick off summer in Cieza by bringing back what has been a classic for countless years."

For his part, Carlos Semitiel stated that "this tournament joins a numerous series of sporting activities that, after a painful hiatus, have sprung up in Cieza, sponsored by various local groups. This speaks to the healthy state of sports practice in our municipality and the determined will to recover as much of the lost normalcy as possible. For this reason, the City Council has an obligation to support these events, which are beneficial for the general public."
