The Cieza peach is well known and recognized as one of the best peaches in the world. There are many reasons why it is so popular in all its varieties, each one tailored to the consumer's palate.
Every year, for example, more work is done to promote our spectacular Cieza Flowering Season. Guided tours, exhibitions, and concerts are just some of the attractions Cieza has to offer visitors. And now, as a new feature for its latest edition, a gastronomic fair has even been created around it. Not to mention, of course, that every year more photographers, reporters, television channels, and media outlets in general visit us and spread the word about our colorful fields.
Well, now another way to get to know our peach will be thanks to the union of two great pastry chefs from Murcia, the great Andrés Marmol, manager of Confitería Pastelería La Gloria in El Palmar, and of course, the magic of a Ciezano could not be missing in this new project, we are referring to Joaquín Ramos, manager of Las Delicias.
Both are members of the Pastry Chefs in Action Association, an association that collaborates on a wide variety of events seeking to promote the most traditional and innovative pastries, and which also frequently seeks and supports charitable causes.
This coming weekend, the sixth edition of the Murcia Gastronomic Fair, organized by the newspaper La Verdad de Murcia, will be held in the building adjacent to the Victor Villegas Auditorium in Murcia. These two master chefs will explore how to integrate peaches, a quintessential Ciezano delicacy, into the chocolate architecture that characterizes Marmol.
The presentation of "Manjar de Cieza" will be this Saturday, November 18, at 4:30 p.m. during the presentation "Sweet Duo: Las Delicias and La Gloria Confectioneries," led, as we say, by Andrés Marmol of La Gloria and Joaquín Ramos of Las Delicias.
Cieza's gastronomy will also be featured on Friday the 17th at 12:30 p.m. in the presentation "Renewed Cieza Cuisine," with a talk and tasting led by Pepe López of the Hotel La Paz.
