The Nueva Fundación Los Albares and Inserta Empleo, the ONCE Foundation's training and employment entity, presented this Monday the launch of a custodian assistant course, aimed at fifteen users of the center. The course aims to increase the training and employment of people with intellectual disabilities.
The opening of this 153-hour training program was attended by Amparo Pino, president of the Board of Trustees of the Nueva Fundación Los Albares and Councilor for Women, Equality, and Disability of the Cieza City Council, and Ana Sánchez, director of this regional organization, established in 1996.
Also present at the presentation were career counselor Celia Gómez and professor María del Carmen Fernández, who emphasized the "eminently practical" nature of this course, which consists of three modules, "the second being the most important because it focuses on the functions of a concierge."
In his speech, Pino explained that Inserta Empleo provides students with the professional skills that enable them to be competitive in the labor market and the development of personal aptitudes and abilities to achieve full participation in their work and social environments.
Quality training and employment with long-term prospects and support for personal autonomy are the goals of this non-profit organization, which continues the philosophy of the ONCE Foundation, based on supporting a group at risk of social exclusion, opening the doors to a hopeful future for them.
