The Department of Employment and Economic Development, in collaboration with the Farmers' Center, COAG, FECOAM, and UPA, is launching a series of training courses to kick off this year's agricultural season. The training program for this period will include courses in: Forklift Operation, Safe Tractor Handling and Use, and Fruit and Vegetable Handling.
These actions will be carried out to promote the integration of participants into the workforce, enabling them to acquire the qualifications, skills, and experience that employers demand at the start of the season. They are designed to provide the professional licenses necessary to perform certain tasks, both on farms and in processing and packaging facilities.
The training will begin on April 3rd with the Forklift Operator course and will be held in the afternoon. The training is completely free and is aimed at people in the agri-food sector (farmers, business owners, and the unemployed).
The Councillor for Employment, Economic Development and Agriculture, Antonio Moya, points out that “these training actions have been generated through the demands collected within the rounds of visits established by the Local Development Dynamization Plan (PdDL), opting for consented training, that is, oriented to what is demanded by local companies.”
