"Fulfilling commitments made to residents and farmers. Residents have been requesting the repair of these roads for many years," municipal sources said.
"We remain committed to repairing and improving our extensive rural road network. Given the inaction of the regional government, which has even proposed withdrawing the European Rural Development Fund (RDF) for this purpose, the municipal government has already invested close to €2 million in the last two legislative terms. We remain committed to continuing to improve our rural road network, and work on new roads already put out to tender will begin in the coming days."
Projects for several other roads are also already being drawn up for the next tender:
Emergency roadworks on the Cencerro road. The road to the shooting range (olive shop). The Acho road. The road from the Agua Amarga stream to La Carrichosa. The T1 road. The Puente del Jinete link road (RM25 with B19). The guardrail section: Fuente del Peral, Cencerro, and the Agua Amarga stream.
