The patron saint of Cieza, the Blessed Virgin of Good Success, faces her final week at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption, where she welcomes the hundreds of Ciezans who visit her every day.
This Saturday 16th On September 1st, a floral offering will take place in her honor starting at 8:00 p.m. All interested parties must inform us before the Mass begins. At the conclusion of the Mass, children who wish to do so will be passed under the mantle of the Blessed Virgin of Buen Suceso.
Acts of the Virgin of Good Success
In another order of things, the Wednesday 20th On September 1st, the triduum in honor of the Patron Saint of Cieza begins at 8:00 p.m.; this year, three preachers from Cieza will be in charge of officiating.
He Saturday 23rd On September 1st, after the religious service which will be officiated by the Rev. D. José Antonio García López, councilor of the Board of Passion Brotherhoods of Cieza, the act of ascending to the Sanctuary with the 'Light of Life' will take place together with the parish priest D. Saúl Sánchez Fernández.
The Atalaya hill will host a popular festival starting at 9:30 p.m. with a corresponding musical performance beginning at 10:00 p.m.
Please note that there will be a bus service on Saturday from 8:30 p.m. (Cuesta del Molino Street – Duque de Rivas Street). To avoid crowds and long waits, we recommend using the bus, as lines to park private vehicles can be endless and cause unnecessary inconvenience.
The Blessed Virgin of Buen Suceso will return to her hermitage on Sunday 24th September, starting at 8:00 a.m., one hour after the celebration of Holy Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption.
Upon arrival at Collado de la Atalaya, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the Rev. and Councilor of the JHP, Mr. José Antonio García López, will officiate a holy mass.
He October 7, the traditional masses will begin at the Atalaya on the first Saturday of each month, and regular updates will be provided.
