The Socialist Party of Cieza states that the arrival of the hybrid train to Cieza is in its final stages. The mayor of Cieza, the Socialist Pascual Lucas, wants to finalize the exact arrival date of the train and, to that end, has requested a meeting with Diego Conesa.

The Socialist group in Cieza is demanding that the train stop in Cieza, pending confirmation of the date. Since the formation of the Variant Platform, their position has remained unchanged: the Socialists have insisted on the stop of two trains, one in each direction, to replace the two existing trains. Altaria existing, in unison with the demands of the Platform.

Furthermore, since the hybrid trains began operating, the mayor has held up to three meetings with Diego Conesa. He has also called an open meeting with the political groups represented in the City Council. PVxCFollowing these, constant communication has continued and commitments have been obtained from the Delegation.

In the words of the government delegate: “When the Camarillas Bypass is finished, if not sooner, Cieza will have its train stop.” Later, at the Infrastructure Committee meeting in the Regional Assembly, Conesa announced that he had requested RENFE to establish a stop at Cieza station before the end of the year.

The Socialists continue to reaffirm their commitment to the train and infrastructure in Cieza. We hope the Government Delegate will confirm the train service so that the residents of Cieza, as well as those in the north and northwest of the Region, can benefit from high-speed rail. As soon as the meeting is held and the stop date is finalized, it will be announced to the rest of the community, Socialist sources stated.
