The Siyâsa Museum will host the competition's launch, starting at 5:00 p.m. on February 26th. The event will take place on a certified 1-km circuit around Avenida de Abarán..

We're just a few weeks away from the national competition once again taking place in the Region of Murcia. This will happen next Sunday, February 26th, when Cieza hosts the 12th Spanish Road Walking Championship by category (Absolute through U16), as well as the National Championship by Regional Federations U20 and U16, on the approved 1km circuit on Avenida de Abarán.

The presentation ceremony for this event will take place this Wednesday, February 1st, starting at 5:00 PM at the Siyasa Museum in Cieza. The event will be attended by the Mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, as well as the Councilor for Sports, Carlos Semitiel; the President of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation, Raúl Chapado; the Director General of Sports, Fran Sánchez; Pruden Guerrero, President of the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia; and José Antonio Carrillo, President of UCAM Athleo Cieza and a member of the national technical team for the sport.

Also in attendance will be some of the world's most prominent athletes, such as two-time European champion Álvaro Martín from Extremadura, and the local idol, Manu Bermúdez, the current Spanish 10,000m Race Walk champion and fourth-place European champion in the 35km race.
