The Capitol Theatre's new program, developed by the Department of Culture, begins today, Friday, at 8:30 p.m., with "Conciertos en Flor" (Concerts in Bloom), conducted by Alejandro Molina. Ars Nova and Cieza-born pianist Caridad Galindo will offer a repertoire ranging from Mozart to great passages from opera and zarzuela, some of which will be performed by Cieza-born soprano Patricia Dato.
Music will be the star of this new season at the Capitol, but the highlights include the array of plays that will be performed with top-level actors such as Carmelo Gómez, Javier Guitiérrez, and Malena Arterio.
The program will also feature the historic Murcia company Alkibla and plays for children such as "The Presumptuous Little Rat" and "The Chocolate House."
A "varied and high-quality program aimed at all ages," Mayor Tomás Rubio and Councilor for Culture Maríoa Turpín agreed during the presentation of the new season.
