With this project, once again this year, adults and children have been able to share and enjoy magical and heartfelt moments of intergenerational exchange. Municipal sources consider it "very commendable the wonderful altruistic work that the group of IT volunteers from the Las Morericas Municipal Center for the Elderly, associated with AMUVIN, carry out for a few days with the children."
Using new technologies and various educational games, volunteers teach children positive values such as inclusion, tolerance, solidarity, respect for others and the environment, recycling materials for various uses, and more.
As a grand finale to this activity, Mayor Pascual Lucas Díaz and Councilor for Senior Citizens Cristina García-Vaso, along with Municipal Human Resources Manager María Jesús López, presented each participating child with a certificate and a souvenir gift. They also praised the volunteers for their outstanding work and encouraged them to continue their work. Following this closing ceremony, adults and children shared a healthy lunch at the center.
The evaluation of this activity by both the volunteers and the participating children has been entirely positive, which is, once again, "gratifying" for the Department for the Elderly, "to be able to confirm that the activities planned at the Las Morericas Center meet their objectives."
