Next Saturday, October 18, 2025, the event will take place at the Ojós Cultural Center.
Starting at 10:00 a.m., the fourth call for the Congress of Ojós and the Valley of
Ricote. Tradition and History in the Mediterranean, coordinated by historians
Ricardo Montes Bernárdez and Pascual Santos López.

The Congress is organized by the Fray Pasqual Salmerón Center for Historical Studies of
Cieza together with the Ojós City Council and is sponsored by the Ministry of
Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports of the Region of Murcia, Costa Cálida Region
from Murcia, the Mediterranean House and the Nativity Scene Museum of the World of Ojós.
Around twenty experts in History, Archaeology,
Heritage, Art, Nature, Anthropology, Ethnography, Literature, Industry, Science,
Technology and Environment of the Ricote Valley and other parts of Spain, with
four blocks of proposals: Moriscos, Historical Contributions, Art and
Religiosity and, finally, Biographies and Environment.

The Center for Historical Studies will participate, in addition to organizing the
event, with the presentation of several papers by historians of the association,
related to the History of Cieza and the Ricote Valley. The communications are
will take place throughout the day from 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and admission is
free until full capacity.
